Club Champs and AGM Postponement
The committee. has decided to postpone the club champs event and AGM from 21st August to 18th September. Our event on 21st August has been postponed but the Stockholm JROS squad are offering an evening event in Findhorn (more details from Elizabeth) and Steve Smirthwaite is planning a mountain bike event on his return from Edinburgh to keep us busy. The club champs will be in a score format with the AGM straight after and be held in Roseisle so the hardy among us can still go swimming. More details next week. Apologies to our members for the postponement.

Entries open tomorrow for the next SOL hosted by MAROC
You can read all the details here    It also mentions a SOL on the previous day, hosted by GRAMP, but as yet there are no details available for this. These events are due to be on the 4th and 5th of September.

Invitation from INVOC

INVOC invites you to the latest iROMP (INVOC Regular Orienteering Mapping Programme) at Creag Leach, approx. 5 miles SW of Inverness. There are four courses courtesy of Alec Keith: orange, light green, green and blue. It’s not an organised event– the controls have been laid out discreetly in the woodland, so just print a map and go run the courses in your own time. There are no timing devices. Maps were distributed in the INVOC weekly news email on 3 August. Other clubs can email enquiries"at"invocmail.org.uk to get the maps and details.

Updated Club League Points
As we catch our breath after Coast and Islands and Lochaber 2021 Eddie has been busy updating the main club league points. To find out how everyone got on, see the new table on our website.
If you see any errors or missing results, please let Eddie or Margaret know.

The Scottish6Days seems to have been a great success despite its reduction to three days and the absence of club tents and traders etc. No Wilf's queues!! For our new members, I would like to point out that this was very different to our normal 6 days. It is usually MUCH more sociable with far more club interaction. Please come back another year when it will hopefully have returned to normal (??).

We had some great performances too. We had 4 class winners, Finlay M14A, Kate W14A, Isobel W16A and Eddie M65L. Honourable mentions also go to Rob Parkinson 5th in the very large M65L class and Douglas 3rd in M80. On the short courses our best performer was Elizabeth Furness 3rd W65S. Day 3 seemed to go really well and all our club officials seemed very happy with the Moravian team of helpers. Thanks to everyone involved.

New Club Kit
I have had some requests for Club Kit, both running tops and jackets. There are some tops already in stock and some of the requests will probably be met from those, depending on the fittings. However, I do not have any club jackets in stock so will be putting in an order for those anyway.

The Club tops available are
1 extra small (women)
2 small,  1(unifit and one women)
1 large
1 extra large

There is a sizing chart here to give you a rough idea which ones you need. Currently they come in at £30 each but the new ones when ordered will no doubt be more expensive! So far it seems as if the tops are fairly tight for the sizes quoted and the jackets are more as expected. I will bring them to our next few events for fittings.

If you think one of these might be right for you, please contact Margaret .
