INVOC have an event at Cawdor this Wednesday 25th May

Closing date for Cawdor Wood entries is on Monday (23rd) at midday.

 https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=9961

Cawdor Wood was first used as part of the 1976 World Orienteering Championships, and was the venue for INVOC's first ever event in 1978 - organised by Ken Naismith.  It is a lovely mature open woodland with a scattering of pine areas with different areas of runnability adding complexity to the terrain. There is a good path network and areas of complex contours.  The forest surrounding the castle was left relatively unscathed following the recent storms.  It has not been used by INVOC for many years.  Steve Smitirthwaite, who re-mapped it for us, described it as the best area he has mapped in years.

Courses from white to green.

Starts open until 6.15pm, and courses close at 7.15pm.

Hope you can make it.
