It was wonderful to receive a letter from Laura Mitchell, MSP for Moray recently. Laura has tabled a congratulatory motion at Holyrood, to recognise the achievements of Isobel, Sophie, Kate and Scarlett at the recent Senior Home international in Northern Ireland. The motion is open for six weeks, allowing time for other MSPs to support - and already a number have.
This commendation not only acknowledges the performances on behalf of Team Scotland in securing victory, but also commend Moravian Orienteers for developing ‘young and talented competitive orienteers’. We take this commendation to include parents and coaches who have taken an active role in developing our talented orienteers. That is something we can all be proud of.
